I am Liberal but not a huge fan of taxes either. I think that there are programs that taxes need to fund but there is a lot of waste in State, County, and even local government. Actually I am probably more fiscally conservative than most liberals, but I am very liberal on social issues. I do like to keep the discourse civil, for the most part. Some of my good friends are hardcore conservatives (though my closest friends are hardcore liberals).
When I moved to Waukesha my biggest concern was the fact that I was going to be represented by republicans (quite a change coming off 13 years on the East Side of Milwaukee and 2 in Tosa). While most of my elected officials continue to disappoint (Jim Sensenbrenner being number one on that list), I was quite happy when Larry Nelson defeated Ann “I have no vision for Waukesha except lower taxes” Nischke. With that being said I think that Nelson needs to become more aggressive in attracting and retaining businesses.
Like the Asian Badger I am into good food and good beer. I really enjoy wine, but couldn’t tell a bottle of two buck Chuck from a fine Cabernet. I rarely spend more than 10-20 bucks on a bottle of wine because quite honestly I don’t think I would really appreciate the subtle differences enough to warrant spending the extra money. What I don’t know about wine, I try to make up for in knowledge about beer.
As for sports I am also a fan of the local teams. Not a huge NBA fan, but I do like the Bucks. When it comes to College Basketball, which I love, I am a UWM Panther fan first, Badger Fan second. I am also neutral on Marquette. I kind of like seeing them do well, but a small part of me enjoys when they fall apart in the NCAA tournament because their fans are so damn annoying.
On cigarettes: I hate them. I am not 100 supportive of local smoking bans but deep down, I love the end result. I love going out in Madison, New York City, or Appleton because I know that I don’t have to deal with cigarette smoke.
I am not sure how I am going to approach this blog as opposed to Five Points. I have an idea that I am still thinking about but I guess nobody will know until I start posting.

Conservative. Tax Hater. RINO Hater. Stupidity Hater.
I run a fund and I fly.
I like beer. I like good wine. I like good food.
I like the Packers, Badger, Brewers and am neutral on Marquette. The Bucks are owned by Herb Kohl and are therefore worth nothing but contempt.
Cigarettes only hurt you if you smoke an odd number per day.
I like this blog for stuff I don’t post about on my “regular” blog.
The guys who are “members” of this blog are a cool group.
That’s it!

Taking a cue from Asian Badger’s post:
